I’m a printmaker based in Wigtown where I also own and manage Craigard Gallery.
Originally from a background in Digital Design, I went on to study Illustration at Edinburgh College of Art where I was introduced to printmaking and bookbinding. Now working primarily with relief and silkscreen printing, I very much enjoy the hands on nature of the printing process and apply my designs to a variety of textile and book forms.
Inspired by the past, thrown away and pre loved, I hope to engage with the modern viewer of my work and instil a sense of nostalgia and fondness for the past. As I become increasingly concerned about the impact of our throw away culture, I hope that through my work others will see the beauty in the objects around them and have a desire to preserve our heritage and landscape.
