Roz Plant

Hello! I’m Roz (aka Spinessthezia) and I’m passionate about textile arts and crafts!

I love working with natural fibres and blending wool, alpaca and plant fibres into batts and rovings for spinners, felters and crafters. I make unique hand spun yarns and Art yarns with my fibres and wool locks. I mostly use UK bred sheep (including several rare breeds) and alpaca fleeces. I hand wash and dye the fleeces myself before carding them together with a diverse range of silk and plant fibres, which I also dye myself.

I also make hand netted shawls, sew hats, make textile based jewellery, hand painted batik scarves, pictures and wall hangings and feel incredibly lucky that I live in Dumfries and Galloway. Its natural beauty is so inspiring!
