Life on the coast has been the source of my ideas since Autumn 2019, when I turned my search for inspiration closer to home. Taking the array of colours from sea, sky and rocks, then putting them through the process of my imagination, to produce abstracted art. Creating abstract work gives me creative freedom to explore ideas, colour, texture and a variety of painting techniques. Painting since 2011, I love the process of painting and use, both acrylics and oils, on paper, canvas, or board.

Enjoying the fast drying qualities of acrylic paints and the rich, creamy consistency of oils, In addition, I often apply mixed media to the surface to create interesting surface textures. My ideas sometimes progress into printmaking, using monotype and relief printing techniques.

Artwork comes in a variety of sizes, from my mini, affordable, framed abstracts, up to large, space-filler canvas panels, all unique, in beautiful colour combinations. I also have a range of hand-painted greeting cards and quality printed art cards available.

Working from my home studio in Port William, visitors are welcome, by appointment- Covid 19 restrictions permitting.
