Emily’s Designs started when Emily was at High School. It began with 16 hand drawn greeting card designs all on the themes of farm animals, pets and wildlife. Since then her art business has grown. Emily’s Designs now has a collection of hand drawn greeting cards; printed kitchenware; framed originals and prints- lino, intaglio & screen prints; printed cushions; aprons & bags; 3D/low relief artworks; photography, plus, repeat pattern fabric products – memoboards, jewellery boards, lampshades, clocks and cushions. Her inspiration comes from the family farm and growing up in rural Wigtownshire. Using her handrawn coloured pencil designs, Emily really enjoys creating repeat patterns on the computer, then having her unique fabric printed to use in a variety of her products. Emily also takes commissions for animal portraits, most of which are drawn in coloured or graphite pencil, using a good quality photograph.
In 2016, Emily opened a studio/gallery in Wigtown. Since moving back to her family farm, Emily is now renovating a caravan which will be her new art studio space once completed.
