Andy McKean

Andy pursued a career in architecture, but in 2001 took early retirement to pursue his long held interest in art. He works mainly in watercolours and acrylics and his subjects generally feature old buildings, monuments, houses, gardens, landscapes and seascapes. His paintings feature the strong compositional effects produced by patterns of bright sunlight and deep shadow on weathered stone or rocks, contrasted with the soft textures and bright colours of vegetation.

Many of Andy’s original paintings are available as prints, in various sizes and mounted, or fully framed as required, and also as greeting cards. If you are interested in commissioning a painting, or require further information please contact him directly.
