Nienke Van Ginkel
For about the last 10 years I have been making felt. The fascinating process of creating a fabric from bits of wool has grabbed me and ever since I have been experimenting with different techniques, fibres, colours and textures. Over the years I have attended several different masterclasses to learn more about different ways of creating items from felt. The possibilities are endless and I never stop learning. I like to make scowls, scarves and jewellery. All made from wool combined with other (recycled) fabrics like silk, tweed etc. The method I use is wet felting, just rubbing with soap and water!
Every item is unique, wearable and washable!
