Having moved from the Ayrshire coast to Kirkcudbrightshire in 2017 I am enjoying exploring this lovely county, although it is quite hard to get out of the workshop as I enjoy being in it so much.
Currently I am moving between painting, hand printed woodblock prints & coloured glass designs & panels.
I like to challenge myself by taking a piece of work, for example, the ship in the bottle print & working it into another medium… in this case a copper foiled stained glass panel set in a brass porthole.
Whatever I work at more often than not it turns out to have a maritime connection for example the nets & seabirds.
My recent harvest of red onions is a great source of inspiration & the prints & watercolours may yet be used to design a glass panel.
