I was born and raised in Galloway, South West Scotland.
In the autumn of 1996 I enrolled at the Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, Dundee; graduating four-years later with a BDes (Hons) in Illustration & Printmaking.
After University, full time employment in an archival business sadly took precedence over my art. Thankfully, mainly through word of mouth, I was still being commissioned to draw mainly people & pet portraits.
In the last three years I’ve branched out more and built up a series of humorous gundog and countryside images. These ‘scenes’ have been reproduced as mounted prints & greeting cards. Overtime, I aim to tackle as many dog breeds as possible and produce an illustration/s which is particularly characteristic to each.
I work in a variety of mediums, such as graphite & colour pencils, watercolour, pastels & ink.
